On this web site you will find information about the Corrections Consultation, which started in November 2004 and concluded on March 31, 2006.
The consultation was co-chaired by the Yukon government and the Council of Yukon First Nations. A Project Team conducted the consultation and its work was overseen by an Executive Committee.
The Project Team asked Yukoners how to improve the corrections system in Yukon. This information was used to develop a Corrections Action Plan, to guide programs and services in communities and in a new correctional facility.
The Corrections Action Plan was approved at the Yukon Forum on April 3, 2006.
